Michelle Obama has been out of the White House for a long time, and she's still suffering from the experience. You can tell. She gives interviews and has a podcast to tell you what a grueling experience being First Lady was.
Her latest tour is to plug her newest book, about fashion in the White House. She said she made her fashion choices as First Lady "carefully, thoughtfully, strategically," as she knew that her appearance spoke volumes and projected a power that words couldn't.
As you can see, she hasn't changed from the gal who said for the first time in her adult life she was proud of America when her husband was nominated. No. She is as nice to herself as her husband is to himself. They think they are great.
On Colbert, she expressed that she felt lost about President Trump's construction of a new ballroom."That East Wing, that is not mine. It is ours. But we have to decide to, as a country, decide what rules are we following...I am lost. And I hope that more Americans can feel lost in a way that they want to be found again...."
Say what??? Now I'm lost. Maybe she's not talking about Trump's construction, the one U.S. taxpayers don't have to pay for, but the one her husband is doing on his library in Chicago where it's said Chicago residents are going to be on the hook for its hefty cost. That's probably it.
Hang tough.
