There's something creepy going on. If you stream-watch, every ad, and there are plenty of them, is for gambling, of course with the caveat that "if you have a gambling problem." There are lots of liquor ads, and advertisements that say "If you don't wear it, sell it." They give it cute names, but it's people selling used clothes. Same-thing ads are running on mainstream TV. too. Like we're poor. Or "them" telling us we are, and it's okay.
Then there's Wells Fargo. Latest ads praise a guy for eating a hotdog in his car at a football game, to save 20 bucks. Another praises a guy for cutting his own hair to save 50. What the...?
"However you save money, we're here for you," Wells Fargo says in the ads, or words to that effect. And they're talking about 20 and 50 bucks! Not exactly big time money.
It's sad. It's even tragic. That Americans are eating in their cars, can't afford to get their hair cut at a barber shop, and a major lending institution thinks that it's just fine so people can make ends meet.
Hang tough.
