Some movies really hit home. They're not any of the woke ones Hollywood's been making for the past few years. But ones like Dr. Zhivago. You had to put on your winter woolies just to watch it. It was set in Russia and it gave you chilblains.
The movie took place during the Russian Revolution. You know the whole "Power to the people" routine. At one point the Revolution was so successful for the people that people were boiling leather belts to make soup, because the rich had to be punished, for being rich. Of course, in the end, the Communist leaders were rich, and the poor were still poor.
Today The Washington Post had a strange article. It complained that Elon Musk was going to be paid a trillion dollars over ten years, and compared it to what other people would make.
"That's the combined paychecks of 3.2 million cashiers!" the Post wailed! "$3 billion more than combined salaries of America's 1.4 million elementary school teachers!"
Breitbart's John Nolte had a pretty good take on the whole thing. "Musk is our era's Einstein. What he's creating today will affect mankind for as long as mankind manages to exist. He's like Steve Jobs and Thomas Edison combined...Like anyone in a free country, Musk deserves whatever someone is willing to pay him."
Like Jeff Bezos, if he draws a ton of money from ownership of, yes, The Washington Post.
Hang tough.
