It seems Michelle Obama’s podcast isn't anyone’s cup of tea. Turns out no one wants to hear her complain about Barack. We’ don't. We've been doing that for years.
The “Podcast” that won the day is the pod of dolphins that greeted the astronauts at the Dragon capsule Splash Down.
Dolphins are nice. And puppies.
A fire fighter in Georgia recently rescued seven newborn puppies from a burning house.
“The first responder said the mother dog had laid over her pups to shield them from the blaze, and sacrificed her life for doing so,” the news report said. “Every one of her pups survived.”
Dogs. Dolphins. Elon Musk. They’re loyal. Smart. They give ‘til it hurts, and never ask for anything back.
Not like some people, like George Clooney. I liked him decades ago in ER. Today? Not so much.
For actor-political-dabbler George Clooney, concern for his country is just a role to be played.
During the years Joe has been bumbling and stumbling, Clooney had nothing but praise for Joe.
Until he didn’t.
And when he didn’t it wasn’t because felt obligated to admit Joe was mentally incompetent.
It was because of his wife, Amal. Who knew? It looked like Joe and George were a team.
On June 14, 2024, George, Julia Roberts, Jimmy Kimmel and Obama co-hosted a fundraiser for Joe. That was the time Joe froze for a few minutes, and later had to be helped offstage by Obama.
On June 27, there was the debate with Donald Trump. Confused and incoherent, it was painfully clear that Joe was not a viable candidate for president.
In July, 2024, Clooney wrote a surprising New York Times Op-Ed, urging Joe to quit the 2024 presidential race, something he and Democrats should have done in 2020, when Joe spent his presidential campaign in his basement.
But the debate was not the reason Clooney abandoned Joe.
It goes back to May, 2024.
Amal, a Lebanese-British human rights lawyer, announced on the Clooney Foundation website that she was to be part of a panel of the International Criminal Court to evaluate evidence of suspected war crimes for their actions in the Israeli-Gaza War.
This after Hamas invaded Israel on October 7, 2023.
She played a key role in the ICC’s decision to prosecute Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes.
“I support the historic step that the prosecutor of the international Criminal Court has taken to bring justice to victims of atrocities in Israel and Palestine,” she said.
It was when Joe issued his own statement that Clooney dumped Joe. The debate just sealed the deal.
“The ICC prosecutor’s application for arrest warrants against Israeli leaders is outrageous,” Biden said.
An insulted Clooney called the White House to complain about how Amal’s ICC work was portrayed.
He called Joe’s counselor Steve Ricchetti to push back on Joe’s condemnation of the ICC’s arrest warrants.
He was angry that if the administration imposed sanctions against the ICC, it could have an adverse impact on his wife.
Heck, Joe. Was this any way to treat a Democrat Elite!
“I had seen the president up close for this fundraiser, and I was surprised,” Clooney told 60 Minute’s Jon Wertheim on Sunday.
“And so I feel as if there was a lot of profiles in cowardice in my party through all of that. And I was not proud of that. And I also believed I had to tell the truth.”
Did he? Of course not! Clooney wasn’t there to apologize for concealing Joe’s mental health. He was there to blame others for their cowardice.
And, would you believe, to promote his upcoming Broadway debut, portraying journalist Edward R. Murrow in Good Night and Good Luck!!!
Just as he claimed to be a Sanctuary Buddy for illegal immigrants, Clooney did a 180 when African illegals landed on his Lake Como property,
Clooney is for no one but Clooney.
“He fought hard for Sleepy Joe’s election,” Trump said about Clooney, whom he called a Second Rate Actor, “and then, right after the Debate, dumped him like a dog.”
Now that sounds like someone who wants to tell the truth.
Hold the line, America.
