None of it makes sense, so don’t even try.
We all know the name-calling and scandal-mongering that’s been going on.
The inept handling of the Brown University shootings. The tragic death of the Reiners at the hand of their own son.
Somalian theft in Minnesota. And the continued persecution of Jews, with targeted murders in Australia.
The Left delights in the dirt in all of it.
But if you’re “normal,” you’re bound to be confused, skeptical that “what can be, will be unburdened by what has been.”
There is too much talk.
“Will Susie Wiles get fired because of her Vanity Fair interview?” the Leftist media-types asks, licking their chops.
“Is Trump going to apologize for his comments about Rob Reiner’s death?”
They hope he won’t apologize, and he didn’t.
“A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind-crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.
“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Gold Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!” he said.
Inappropriate? Over the top? Thumper, the cute bunny in Disney’s Bambi said, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.”
And we all are cautioned never to speak ill of the dead.
But sometimes context is needed.
Like here.
Rob Reiner wasn’t just an outspoken advocate of the Left, his comments were unkind, and untrue.
It’s indisputable that everyone is saddened by the murders. Trump said so, but he added he was no fan of Rob Reiner.
Why?
Well, Reiner helped launch a committee to investigate Russia, Russia, Russia interference in U.S. elections, which plagued Trump for years.
In 2017, Reiner told Variety at the Dubai International Film Festival, that Trump was “mentally unfit” to serve as president.
“Not only does he not understand how government works, he has no interest in trying to find out how it works,” he said.
Reiner called Trump an authoritarian on MSNBC in 2023, then asked,
“Do we want fascism, or do we want to continue the 248 years of self-rule? Do we want to continue democracy, or do we want to slip into fascism?”
It’s a free country. Reiner can say what he wants.
And so can Trump.
There’s a long list of people who have said disgraceful things about Trump.
Like Kelly Ann Conway’s chubby, angry ex, George, whose level of hatred is both puzzling and frightening.
Trump’s in hot water whenever he opens his mouth, but no one in the media took exception when Bill Clinton and Barack Obama’s pal, a former president, George Bush said, “That’s some weird s**t!” after Trump’s speech at Trump’s first inauguration.
Or when January 6-Liz Cheney played petty politics, choosing not to invite a sitting president and vice president to her father’s funeral.
While Rachel Maddow, Mitch McConnell and Dr. Fauci attended.
Trump has suffered mightily at the hands of the likes of Rob Reiner.
People like Reiner did everything they could to destroy Trump, body and soul.
Voters elected Trump because he says what he means, and does what he promises, out-bunnying the Energizer Bunny.
So why would Trump have to say what he didn’t mean about a man who hated him?
Trump has been sued, impeached, and nearly assassinated twice.
I believe that he is moving at warp speed because, in his heart, he believes he will be a target again.
So, in my book, Donald J. owes nobody nothin’.
Hold the line, America. Stay strong, Patriots.
