"The tradition of Festivus begins with the Airing of Grievances. I’ve got a lot of problems with you people! And now, you’re going to hear about it!” Frank Costanza (Jerry Stiller), Seinfeld

It’s Christmas Eve. For some people it’s the eve of Christ’s birthday. To others, it’s the day before Festivus!
Bitch and moan. Complain and blame. All-year Festivus has become the way of a world that is too much with us.
Somalians! Weak, crooked Tim Walz! The Communist New York mayor!
Hunter Biden is back to tell us he’s broke. Again.
Kellyanne Conway’s ex-chubby hubby announced he’s running for Congress in New York. He says now he’s a Democrat (obviously to get Kellyanne's goat), and was spotted sporting a “I Am Antifa,” shirt at a No Kings protest on October 18, 2025.
And he’s running against Caroline Kennedy’s quirky son, Jack Schlossberg, whose claim to fame is being quirky...And that's being kind.
It’s a lot to process.
This past week, it was the 252nd anniversary of The Boston Tea Party.
December 16, 1773.
Colonists dumped British tea into Boston Harbor to protest taxation without representation. They risked hanging. They knew it, but didn't walk away from what needed to be done.
It was a definitive day. Parliament closed the harbor. But despite the punishment, the spirit continued, leading to American independence.
This year, to celebrate the anniversary, the mayor of Boston, Michelle Wu, a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, and the daughter of Taiwanese parents, led Boston citizens in dumping ice into Boston Harbor.
Not tea.
The anniversary was to protest ICE, and the apprehension and deportation of illegal immigrants by the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
There are plenty of other news stories that can anger and frustrate, but not today.
The Buddha and Jesus had advice: Do all you can do, then walk away.
“Walk away from arguments that only fuel anger. From people who constantly put you down.
“From toxic people, negative emotions. Not every battle is worth fighting. Not every person is worth your energy,” The Buddha counseled.
And when you are not welcomed, wherever or for whatever, Jesus told his disciples, “Whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust off your feet.”
Amazingly, Nicki Manaj had the same advice.
Appearing at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix on Sunday, Erika Kirk asked Manaj what her reaction was to backlash from her own industry, for supporting President Trump.
Manaj answered, “I didn’t notice. We don’t even think about them.
“Really, they’re just disgruntled with themselves. They are angry with themselves,” she added.
“You can’t wake up and think about somebody who is determined to just stay mad.
“I literally tell them, ‘Stay mad,’ ‘cause we’re going to stay joyful, and peaceful, and iconic, and smart. And we’re going to stay thinkers in a world that doesn’t want us to think.”
So today, instead of thinking about the news, about political distractions, some of which mean nothing, we’ll think about what we’re told happened at midnight.
Tonight.
Three Wisemen, important kings, followed a star, travelling to find the new baby that they knew would be king.
Matthew 2:1-12, “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship Him.'”
And tonight, we will also reflect, in the legend, of the animals, kind, patient and intelligent, who, on Christmas Eve were granted the gift of speech to celebrate the birth of Jesus, born among them in a stable.
Merry Christmas. Don't forget about Magic.
Hold the line, America. Stay strong, Patriots
