You've heard it: "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts." Virgil wrote that in the Aeneid. It was during the Trojan War. The Greeks placed a horse outside the gates of Troy. Flattered, and thinking the Greeks were offering a gift as a form of surrender, they rolled the giant gift inside their gates.

Bad mistake. The Trojan Horse was filled with soldiers. During the night, the soldiers came out and vanquised the Trojans, and that was that.

In those days it was a horse. Today it could be a jet airplane.

Take a  gift from Qatar? No. Why? Because they do not like us, and what would be a better opportunity for them to load President Trump's Air Force One with all sorts of goodies, like surveillance gadgets -- for them to monitor -- poisonous stuff -- for them to do harm.

And besides death and destruction, and the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, (Article One, Section 9, Paragraph 8 which says 'Don't take gifts; it doesn't look good), isn't "Made in America" still what we're doing, not "Made in Qatar?"

What should happen is for Boeing to put in some overtime and build a plane for the president. Or maybe they should pack up their bags and go out of business. They seem to know how to get astronauts into space, but don't know how to get them back. Without Elon.

Hang tough.
