I believe in supporting the people you love, at home and in government. I also believe in the Rule of Life: Always question authority. We have a man we admire in the White House. That doesn't mean we have to become the people we replaced. If we see something, we should say something.
For instance, someone should ask Elon Musk, whom I also admire, why he carries his little boy, on his shoulders, into the Oval Office and through the halls of Congress. It's odd, and he should be asked why he does it. By the press. By the president. It's not a good look.
As a mother, I'm upset. Little X should have been at home, after a nice bath, watching some baby shows, and getting ready for his dinner and an early bedtime, instead of crawling all over his father's head because he obviously needed a nap.
He's four. I didn't like that he was so obviously tired while his father explained DOGE to reporters, and no one did anything about it.
As for the release of Marc Fogel yestrday from a Russian prison, the Pennsylvania school teacher who was arrested in Russia, and sentenced to 14 years, I became less than impressed when I heard why he was arrested. For carrying medical marijuana into Russia.
So I think. Hmmm. This has happened before, hasn't it. He's a school teacher and he didn't add two and two and know not to do that? So when I see him come home, that's great, but I think, I wonder when Americans are going to be top of Trump's list, and not influencing the war in Ukraine.
Americans have suffered financially and every other way for four years. We can't wait until the fossil fuel resurgence brings down prices. Or add one more dollar to our purchases with added tariffs, although I agree with tariffs.
It's time to turn attention to Americans. The ones FEMA let down, the people who have to pay $10 dollars for an egg breakfast sandwich as of this week. I'm happy Fort Hood has its name back, but I'm not seeing my world, or my bills change very much. And I'm saying it. It's right to question authority.
Hang tough.
