The Bubonic Plague was no picnic. Called "The Black Death," the disease killed between 75 to 200 million people in Europe in 1348. People contracting it died within eight days.
The affliction caused a horrible death. It was spread by fleas on rodents. Like in rats. People bitten by the fleas succumbed and died.
