Americans: Taking It On The Chin Again

"Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity. And I’m not sure about the universe.” Albert Einstein

This administration may be stupid about a lot of things, but if they think Americans are stupid, they’re in for a surprise!
Who wouldn’t feel sorry for a kid who has walked all the way to the United States from Guatemala? We get that.
Unfortunately feeling sorry is not the point.
But the president is helping you miss the point, telling you immigration reform is all about "the children.”
          It’s not.
"It’s an urgent humanitarian crisis along the southwest border,” the president declared with knitted brow. It can only be fixed, "fast,” and "right now” and only with immigration reform.
          Gosh, he’s upset.
"I’m beginning a new effort to fix as much of our immigration system as I can on my own, without Congress,” he threatens, with knitted brow.
Wow, those kids must have really touched his heart! I bet he’s heading straight for the border to help those kiddies that have been arriving… since last November.
          Uh, no. He’s not.
Men are doing the back stroke to swim across the Rio Grande River to get into the U.S. illegally.
Kids have been arriving from Honduras, Guatemala and San Salvador with "lice streaming down their faces.”
Texas Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra says they "come across decomposing bodies quite often.”
Local residents near the border are terrified at the health screenings these kids aren’t getting and wondering how much it’s going to cost them to house, feed and clothe all those children that are now their responsibility as the feds drop them and run.
         And what is Obama doing?
Well, he’s heading out for Texas to a $32,000-per plate fundraiser for the Democratic Party -- although White House spokesman Josh Earnest chose to call it "building some support for Democratic candidates for office who are on the ballot in November…” not fundraising…
Whatever. He isn’t responding to Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s invitation to come to Texas and work to solve the border problem.
          That’s the point.
One thing Obama and the mainstream media aren’t mentioning is the president’s own failure to enforce immigration as the causal connection to what we’re seeing today; that the Obama administration has encouraged illegal immigration into the U.S.
And that someone, somewhere in the federal government solicited these kids to come here.
The American people are not in the loop about any details about who and why and how long, but we do know that the federal government placed an ad on FedBizOpps.gov in January, 2014, looking for vendors to accompany these unaccompanied alien children. And the ad says the gig will last for a year.
The president insists these children were an "unanticipated consequence.” Hmmm. I don’t think so.
Adorable kids. It’s been used before by the Democratic Party.
It’s the best way to plug a product and manipulate an audience. To shame and threaten whomever they see as the opposition. Instead of solving anything, Obama is trying to shame Americans into solving the mess for him.
But ask yourself: When’s the last time in its history the United States ever turned its back on any nation in need?
Then ask yourself: If we are expected to help, aren’t we entitled to know what’s going on?
So shame on him, not on us.
          It is par for the course with this administration that just when you’ve picked your head up from trying to untangle your screwed-up healthcare;
          Just when you paid your taxes with the realization that a full 50 percent of Americans don’t;
Just when you’ve done it all the right way, dotted every "i,” crossed every "t,” now you realize you are expected to pick up the tab for someone else’s kids in "non-contiguous countries.”
"Non-contiguous countries.” Nice phrase.  Do you believe Obama just pulled that one out of his back pocket?
No, it’s a U.S. law. It mandates that children from "non-contiguous countries” coming here to the U.S. must be placed with family members or foster families while waiting for deportation hearings.
The process takes two to three years.
Obama thinks we’re that stupid, that we can’t connect the dots. But we aren’t. And we can.
We know this is another scheme. We know if Congress adjourns for the year without passing the immigration reform he wants, these illegal immigrants won’t be as useful to him as they could be before the November 2014 mid-term elections.
Obama’s blaming Americans, Congress, Republicans, everyone but himself, again. And he wants to turn on the steam. Rush! Hurry!
But we’re not buying it. And Americans are pushing back.
That’s exactly what the residents did when three bus loads of undocumented immigrants rolled into Murrieta, California. They pushed back.
One hundred protesters plunked themselves in front of the buses and refused to let them unload 140 undocumented immigrants in their town.
The buses were forced to turn back.
But the residents were never told the plan to begin with. How many?  How long? Why? It is a secret and no American citizens are being told anything.
          Not even a U.S. Congressman.
Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) was denied access to an Army base at Fort Sill, which was housing illegal immigrant children in his own home state.
This only serves to underscore the secrecy that has surrounded the housing of these children at other facilities.
Other members of Congress were invited to tour the UAC facility at Ventura County Naval Base and were similarly prohibited from speaking to children or staff and from taking pictures .
Why? We don’t know. What we do know is none of this is an "unanticipated consequence.”
We know Democrats never plan ahead except when it suits them. And lack of planning on their part always means we are supposed to react to their emergency.
But there’s a plan coming together here. And that plan has profound consequences for the people they use as pieces in their endless political chess game.
Real people, living real lives, facing the prospect of real diseases, and real increases in their real taxes. Because they actually plan ahead and actually balance their budgets.
Obama has had the border situation on his desk for a full six years, but suddenly it’s a crisis. He dithers and manipulates in true Alinsky fashion and we are supposed to take it on the chin.
You think Nancy Pelosi sat down with her pocket calculator and worked out the numbers on how these kids will be supported?
          No. That would be planning.
Did the president think it would take "money” to take care of these kiddies? I guess not. At least not ahead of time, but now he wants us to pay $2 billion to do just that. It never occurred to him before.
But that’s how this administration rolls. Crisis-driven.
It’s "Now or never.” "My way or the highway.” And "Give ‘til it hurts.” These have become the new slogans of the Democratic Party.
Could this be the reason why a recent poll named President Obama as the worst American president in 70 years? And this is a poll which included Nixon, folks!
          Now that’s a humanitarian crisis!
          Hold the line, America.
