Where's That Level Playing Field?

It happens to Colombo all the time. The bad guys treat him like he's stupid.

It's the same way arrogant talk show guys treat their audiences.

They tell them, "You guys are well informed! You're my peers," then proceed to patiently explain every little issue to them, even whom we should vote for.

          Or shouldn't vote for.

These media divas are accustomed to listeners hanging on their every word, waiting for pearls of wisdom to drop from their lips, and are stunned that listeners aren't listening to them anymore.

         They're listening to Trump.

         And we all know why.

Levin, Limbaugh, Krauthammer, O'Reilly et al, are so jealous of Trump's popularity, they have become as petulant as teen-aged girls passed over for Homecoming Queen.

Indeed, they have become downright vicious in their opinions instead of covering the news. And we used to hold them in such high regard.

But there's a new kid in town and they don't want to hear it.

What they do is a "process", designed to destroy a person with words, to indoctrinate the people and control the outcome. And they are good at it. We just never thought they'd use the tactic against us.

They started off by laughing at Trump and expressing doubt that he was really running for president.

Then, when he did really well, they felt they could give him tips on what he was doing wrong and how he could do it better.

As if they knew. As if he needed it.

And when he was clearly on the top of the heap, they made nasty remarks about him that weren't true. That's where we are now.

It is a desperate attempt to keep him from being the Republican presidential candidate.

         And we know why.

These talk show guys are frustrated that they can't do what he did, can't explain how he did it, and don't like any of it. They are rich, white men who want to protect their turf. And they are profoundly annoyed.

But unfortunately they can control what the ultimate outcome will be. They do it by creating a false narrative, sullying Trump's reputation, in an attempt to drive would-be voters away.

It's important to realize that it is happening in America. And voters finally do.

They see there is no difference between the Democrat and Republican Parties when they thought there was. They realize that the rule of thumb for these media divas is to never let facts get in the way of their opinions. They want to maintain the status quo. We thought they didn't. And they don't like Trump, even though they say they never endorse any one candidate. But they do.

         It is a sad realization.

And here's how they do it: When a female journalist tried to touch a presidential candidate, that isn't what's reported. They deflect, pointing out that the journalist was man-handled, and a man should never put his hands on a woman. So I guess that protects ISIS female suicide bombers.

It's a tactic Obama has used for years.

They don't report that the journalist might have intended to hurt a presidential candidate, which is Off Limits! That she was brandishing a pen which could have been a weapon, or that it is an assault for her to touch him.

No, they deflect and blame the candidate and his security and his staffer. They don't mention that this reporter has a book coming out, or that if she had a question she could have asked it at the hour-long Trump press conference she had just attended.

In the end no judges chose to hear the case against her "assailant," Trump's campaign manager, simply because it was frivolous. But nonetheless it was effective grist for the anti-Trump media. The talk show divas had done their job.

When Colorado didn't allow voters to have a voice, when the GOP decided to scrap its state primary, the media divas deflected again. They sneered at the candidate for whining and for not knowing the rules that were ironically passed by the GOP in October.

They never got into whether the rules were fair. Why would they?

Truth has gotten short shrift with these guys. They like it better when people like Bill Clinton and Bernie Sanders accidentally say the truth, then walk it back the next day.

What the media divas don't realize is this: Trump supporters like that he whines, about immigration, refugees, ISIS, and our veterans, because no one else does. Not the Republican-controlled Congress, not Hillary Clinton, and not the president.

We've waited eight long years for Republicans to get their act together and they haven't. Now a man has come along who isn't afraid to whine.

Nearly a year after Trump's campaign began, he is shaking up the shady world of politics in a way not seen by man nor beast in a very long time. And Levin, Limbaugh, Krauthammer and O'Reilly? They're still just talking heads.

And it makes them furious to be upstaged.

Despite their efforts to bring him down, everyone has their eyes on Trump, because, like Colombo, the American voters aren't stupid.

         Hold the line, America.
