The Old Potomac Two-Step

The President: "You’ll take the blame. Cutter and Ritter will take some, too, but it won’t amount to much, they’ll get a slap on the wrist. Then $20,000 an hour on the lecture circuit. The rest of the blame will fall on Greer. Oh yeah, you’ll take him down with you. You’ll destroy his reputation. But that’s as far as it will go. The old Potomac two-step, Jack.”

Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods are still dead and all we have seen is a disgraceful, cowardly response from everyone on Obama’s team. All talk and no action.
Is there anyone in Washington who doesn’t do the Old Potomac Two-Step anymore?
It has been an education to see this administration in action over the past four years, but using Benghazi as a political football, covering up a cover-up with a sex scandal is a new low even for Obama.
Like rats leaving a sinking ship, when the kitchen gets too hot for this administration, their reaction is to lie, deny, then head out of town.
Chief Justice Roberts started it back in June when he fled to Malta right after his controversial decision about Obamacare. He never resurfaced until the Supreme Court convened in the fall.
In the past weeks Gen. Petraeus has handled the murders of Americans in Benghazi by lying, saying it was the video.
Leon Panetta handled the Petraeus scandal by saying basically, "I don’t know nothin’; I get my information from the newspapers "just like you do.”
Wait a sec. Isn’t he the secretary of defense? Don’t they have "people” to provide "inside” security information to Cabinet members – like the secretary of defense? You mean he just picks up a newspaper to see what’s going on in Benghazi – just like you and me?
For that matter, isn’t Petraeus the head of the CIA? Doesn’t he have "people,” too?
As for Hill, well she doesn’t care about any of it. She’s just the secretary of state, and she’s already got one foot out the door.
And don’t bother asking the president. You know he doesn’t like questions about what he’s doing.
No don’t ask the president or his press secretary. Carney cannot shed any light on anything ever.
Speaking for the White House, Carney referred any and all of us to the FBI, because he says he doesn’t know, the FBI probably would know and Obama never knew (about Petraeus) until the day after the election.
I guess it’s similar to the U.S. Predator drone that was fired upon by two Iranian jets over international waters, but not reported upon until after the election.
Or for that matter any details about what happened in Benghazi. As usual Obama doesn’t know, never heard, was never told, but he’s convinced that national security was not breached.
"Well, I have no evidence at this point from what I’ve seen that classified information was disclosed that in any way would have had a negative impact on our national security. Obviously, there’s an ongoing investigation. I don’t want to comment on the specifics of the investigation.”
Of course he doesn’t. But he’s convinced there were no security leaks. He just knows.
The frightening thing is the liberal left all believe when they say something it’s the same as doing it.
"I take this very personally,” Hill said about Benghazi when forced to the wall to take the fall. "So we’re going to get to the bottom of it, and then we’re going to do everything we can to work to prevent it from happening again, and then we’re going to work to bring whoever did this to us to justice.”
But this week Hill was nowhere to be found. Although Stevens, Doherty, Smith and Woods are still dead, she joked about how tired she was, maybe she’d go into home decorating and how she dearly needed a glass of vino.
Then, along with Panetta, she flew the coop, going as far away as they could, to Adelaide, Australia, 10,463 miles away from the November 15 Congressional Hearings on Benghazi.
Maybe it’s just me, but I would have thought leaving the country and being unwilling to be available to field questions before a Congressional committee would have been the wrong way for her to "get to the bottom” of it.
After all, she is the secretary of state. It is her job. And not to be judgmental, but Benghazi was squarely in her job description and it is her fault.
Now here comes Obama’s second act: Payback Time.
Remember Obama keeps score and never forgets. He’ll get around to all his detractors in due course, Dinesh D’Souza, Donald Trump, Papa John’s, all the people who thought we had freedom of speech in America and had an opinion.
For Hill, a loyalist, her payback for taking the theoretical "fall” for the terrorist attack in Benghazi is that she probably won’t be required to testify. Just like U.N. Ambassador Rice’s payback will be her elevation to secretary of state.
As for AFL-CIO union boss Richard Trumka, he was paid back with an "audience” at the White House along with Obama’s other fundraiser-rabble rouser loyalists. There they were assured that O will go after those "rich” people to make sure they pay more in taxes and that workers don’t end up paying the tab "for a party we didn’t get to go to.”
Ditto for SEIU (Service Employees International Union). You remember them. They’re the ones who should have wheels on their feet since they have been bussed in so often to support Obama’s causes around the country.
They were the ones brought in and paid by Obama Democrats to protest in Wisconsin against Gov. Walker’s plan to have unions contribute to their own pensions and health care, and in Bedford, Ohio to protest GOP presidential candidate Gov. Romney.
It was in that very city that Obamaphone Lady spoke about the $1 billion publicly-funded cell phone program and said those memorable words on that memorable video.
"Everybody in Cleveland low minority gotta Obama phone. Keep Obama in president, you know. He gave us a phone, he gonna do more.”
And don’t forget the radical leftist group MoveOn.org, the George Soros-financed liberal group who maliciously targets anyone on the right.
They, too, met with Obama to discuss the fiscal cliff. Not elected members of Congress, but MoveOn.org, the tried and true who Obama knew would carry out his marching orders, strong-arming for him around the country to get what he wants, right now it’s higher taxes on the rich.
But you must remember, Obama is a love ‘em and leave ‘em type guy.
After the election, given their slavish devotion to Obama, the mainstream media expected to be more in with the in crowd, but they’re not. He doesn’t need them anymore, not right now at least.
And the same with Petraeus. The general carried the party line about the anti-Muslim video until he visited Benghazi. Was he going to change his tune and had he become a liability? We’ll know soon, but in the meanwhile "they” collected the dirt on the general, held it for some reason until after the election and then let it fly.
And so it begins. Days after the election, Obama claimed the people gave him a mandate to carry out his policies, but the truth is half the voters in America rejected them. It’s there in the polling numbers, but he’ll ignore that and do as he always has done. He will push through whatever he wants in any way he can. This time around he is zeroing in on the rich.
Remember his father, Barack, Sr., wrote a thesis in total support of 100 percent taxation by the government and he is his father’s proud son.
Pen poised to tax the wealthy that he so resents; the Environmental Protection Agency in the wings, ready to dump new controversial regs that were kept under wraps until after the election; and the sickening implications of the cost to small businesses of Obamacare.
These include diverse companies: medical equipment manufacturers, coal mines, restaurants, auto parts manufacturers, supermarkets and providers of janitorial services and even future layoffs at St. Jude’s Medical.
Judy Nichols, a Papa John’s franchisee in Houston went on FOX to explain how her business was adversely affected by Obamacare.
She'll be cutting her workforce and workers’ hours, she said, because if she carries 50 or more employees she will have to pay $2,000 per employee for their health insurance. She can't do that and keep her doors open.
"We can’t afford that, it’s just pizza,” she said.
She’s right. There’s just so much folks will pay for a pizza.
"If you’re going to boycott every restaurant company that says the health care has an impact on the bottom line, be prepared to cook at home a lot, because it’s affecting every restaurant. Every restaurant that you eat at is impacted negatively by this law.”
It’s a funny way for Obama to stimulate the economy and create jobs, but there you are. Companies have no choice but to cut their losses and this means layoffs.
The White House is fit to be tied that companies are coming forward and making this information public, but more and more small businesses are because Obamacare is now a grim realty for them.
On Obama’s election night rally in Chicago, the strains of "How You Like Me Now,” blared out over the loudspeakers, reflecting his usual, "I won, you didn’t,” approach to politics.
How do we like you now, Mr. President? As much as we did before.
But maybe you shouldn’t ask us, maybe you should ask the guy who made that anti-Muslim video who’s still in jail.
          Hold the line, America.
