It's All Because of The Donald

The stock market is up. Unemployment is down. And Stephen Colbert's late night talk show ratings aren't in the toilet anymore.

And it's all because of President Trump.

Without him, most Liberals wouldn't have anything to talk about. They might not even have careers.

          Like Colbert.

Last week Colbert "trumped" the potty-mouthed chairman of the Democratic National Committee by telling a filthy joke about the president.

"The only thing your (Trump's) mouth is good for, is being Vladamir Putin's c***-holster," was the "joke."

Now some classless Trump supporters might say, "Takes one to know one," but we're not that kind of people.

All that's important is that CBS is delighted with Colbert, and the Federal Communications Commission seems to be, too.

The only mistake Colbert made, outside of not being funny, was that he accidentally insulted a portion of the Liberal Left, the gay community.

          Oops!

As the saying goes, if Democrats didn't have a double standard, they wouldn't have any standards at all.

Even the leaderless Democratic Party owes President Trump a debt of gratitude.

Why else would Hillary start a "Go-Fund-Me-SuperPac" if she couldn't sell it as Anti-Trump? She doesn't have anything else to offer Fat Cat Donors except her hatred for the man who beat her out of the presidency.

"If the election had been on October 27, I would be your president," Hillary told CNN's Christiane Amanpour at a Women for Women International event in New York.

"...I was on the way to winning until a combination of Jim Comey's letter on October 28, and Russian WikiLeaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me and got scared off." And she actually believes that. Which is scary.

Hillary is back, reprising her role as Liberal victim, defending her election loss the same way she defended Bill. By blaming it on a "Right Wing Conspiracy."

False news. False hope. False facts. It's hard to contend with that kind of thinking.

Barbra blames Trump for her weight gain, even though we know she's always been a little on the chunky side.

Lena Durham blames him for her weight loss. Which is good, since we know she's always been a little on the chunky side.

And this week Jimmy Kimmel decided to go political, like Colbert.

He tearfully told his audience that his newborn baby had undergone heart surgery for a congenital heart defect. Such a sad event. But sadder still was his using his child to plug for Obamacare at the end of his announcement.

Some thought it was tasteless. Washington Times reporter Charles Hurt said as much, and was met with disapproval. His comments weren't politically correct and the Left didn't like it. It was about children, for heaven's sake!

But it was Kimmel who didn't do his homework. We could educate him, but what good would it do.

We could tell him the new GOP bill provides for pre-existing conditions, regardless of income.

That before Obamacare, only 15 percent of a total 327 million Americans were without healthcare. That Obama could have covered just those Americans, and left the rest alone.

But he didn't. And he didn't because his "Legacy Goal" was single payer, government-controlled health care, and so he forced Obamacare down the throats of everyone else.

The 278 million Americans, who already had the doctors they liked, who already had the plans they wanted to keep, and who hedged their bets to get the best coverage they could afford.

          That's what insurance is.

Those others, 278 million Americans, had been paying for healthcare their whole working lives. Consistently. Unlike the people who didn't. And "pre-existing" conditions were covered.

And we could tell him there's something called the 1986 Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, which makes healthcare available in hospitals that accept Medicare, Jimmy, to everyone, "regardless of citizenship, legal status or ability to pay." That's healthcare in America. Jimmy.

Kimmel didn't bother to research how much damage Obamacare has done. Why would he? It doesn't fit the message. But Obamacare brought higher premiums, astronomical deductibles, and, according to Lawrence Jones, African American host on The Blaze, damage to the black community.

"Be honest about healthcare," Jones said. "The 30-hour rule put small businesses into bankruptcy." And black Americans out of work.

But bold, blind strokes and ignoring the fine print is the way Liberals like Colbert and Kimmel choose to go.

It might have been nicer if Kimmel had just thanked God that his son survived a difficult surgery. Maybe.

He could have said how grateful he was to live in a country which makes that kind of surgery, performed by skilled doctors, available to its citizens, without being put on a waiting list.

But Liberals like Colbert and Kimmel are content, like Barbra, to moon and moan about "The Way It Was" under the Clintons, and to sit around wishing Obama would return, and "Waiting for the World to Change."

While people like Trump, prefer to do something about it.

          Hold the line, America.
