Class. Either You Have It, Or You Don't

"To achieve world government, it is necessary to remove from the minds of men their individualism, loyalty to family traditions, national patriotism, and religious dogmas." Brock Chisholm, Former Director, U.N. World Health Organization

Brats. They come in all shapes and ages. And they all have axes to grind.

There were the Notre Dame brats who walked out on Mike Pence's commencement speech.

And there's Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, people who should know better, but who definitely have axes to grind.

This month, Hillary chose to show the grads at her alma mater what's ahead for them as Wellesleyan graduates: Lumpiness, bitterness, and the inability to take it on the chin when you lose, without a glass of Chardonnay in hand.

This past week, Obama launched his pitiful "Look At Me Tour," dogging President Trump's footsteps on his international trip.

Obama made a stopover in Germany to deliberately upstage and criticize the president, to defend his indefensible "Legacy," Obamacare, and to pal around with "I Want an Open Society With Shared Values" Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Class. Either you got it, or you don't.

Last week at the G7 Summit in Sicily, Merkel and newly-elected French President Emmanuel Macron didn't have it.

These two leaders were upset, and, truthfully, had every reason to be grumpy.

Trump called out the 23 counties that had not ponied up with 2 percent to NATO. In fact, only five did: The U.S., Poland, Estonia, Greece and the UK.

France didn't, with 1.78 percent. Germany didn't, with 1.19 percent. And neither did Macron's newly-found soul mate, Canadian President Trudeau, paying less than 1 percent.

But that didn't stop any of the members from strutting their disdain for Trump on the world stage, and pining for the Good Ol' Obama days.

Obama was their guy. He was solidly on their Globalist/Socialist page, and, try as they may, President Trump wasn't. During the G7, he declined to sign on for the "Climate Change Mania," the way they wanted him to.

That probably rankled. And he further unnerved them by pushing his own agenda, beefing up NATO coffers to better fight Islamic terrorism. That really infuriated them, including Prime Minister May. In Europe, you don't talk about Muslims that way.

So why wouldn't Macron and Merkel change the narrative?

Exhibiting classic French arrogance and disdain for America, Macron swept past President Trump to warmly greet Angela Merkel on the blue carpet. Then he rudely spoke in French to our president, without an interpreter, while managing English a few minutes later when speaking with Prime Minister May.

Exactly what a brat would do.

And a grim-faced Merkel "Fake Newsed" it, announcing angrily that Europe couldn't count on the U.S. anymore, and that President Trump was no longer cooperating with NATO members.

Of course that's not what Trump said, but the brats didn't like being called out in public for being deadbeats. After all they'd been reminded of their tardiness through a couple of U.S. administrations. In private. Ironically, after the public announcement, money started pouring into NATO accounts.

He was the only grown-up in the room, and as such Trump knows there are problems more serious for all NATO nations than Global Warming.

Macron has assumed leadership of a country with 238 deaths in the last 18 months from Islamic terrorists, and under Merkel's leadership, Germany's rape crisis, committed by refugees, has remained unabated.

During the conference Macron and Canada's Trudeau bonded like brothers from another mother, and many of the "kids" grimaced and snickered as they listened to President Trump's address. The meeting seemed like a huge waste of time, except for the reassurance and informed guidance from our president. That was worthwhile.

Yes, class. You either have it or you don't.

And it's easy to spot. As Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart remarked when pressed to define "hardcore pornography," he said he couldn't define it, "But I know it when I see it."

It was class when President Trump presented Pope Francis with a first edition collection of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s speeches. It wasn't when Barack Obama presented Queen Elizabeth with an iPod loaded with his speeches and photos of him.

What European critics fail to realize is that they are backing the wrong horse.

While Donald Trump traveled to Israel, Saudi Arabia and the Vatican to do what is good  for America, Barack Obama traveled to do what is good for Barack Obama.

           Hold the line, America.
