"I believe in forgiveness. I believe in trying to work with people." Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.)

          It's not often you get to see Treason in action. But we're lucky. It's happening all around us. In our own government.

          It involves the public servants who don't show up for work, and those that shouldn't.

          Sixty Democrats didn't attend President Trump's Inauguration, and now a handful of them are planning to boycott his State of the Union Address.

          These elected officials seem to think their "jobs" are a now and then thing. They can come -- or not -- to whatever, whenever they choose.

          And they are proud as peacocks at the the hijinks they pull.

          The only downside for them this time is that the "Schumer Shutdown" didn't last long enough. They were counting on it to make the president's first year in office ever more miserable.

          Well, you win some, you lose some.

          The Five Projected No Shows for the State of the Union boycott are Congressmen whose reputations precede them, who will jump on any band wagon that says "Screw Trump."

          Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) who thinks her only job is to impeach Trump;

          "Iconic" Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), who may have marched beside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., but is the antithesis of the values for which Dr. King lived and died;

          Cowboy Hat Congresswoman Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) who made a federal case out of the way she said the president spoke to the widow of fallen Niger hero Sgt. La David Johnson;

          Rep. Pramila Jahyapal (D-Wash.), an illegal immigrant advocacy/climate change/anti-Trump activist type;

          And Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) a guy who worked hard in his job to introduce the "No Trump Act," a bill designed to prevent taxpayer dollars from being used to pay for events and other expenses, at hotels owned or operated by a president or his relatives...

          All of them were absent from the Inauguration, and plan to do it again at the State of the Union. And I thought going was part of the job.

          But there are others in our government who could easily qualify for Treason Awards: The Swampites in the Intelligence Community, and all the rest who are also working to destroy Donald Trump.

          These Flibbertygibbits would lose their little heads if they weren't attached! And so, whatever happens, it's really not their fault.

          Former FBI Director James Comey plumb forgot to interview Hillary Clinton about her server before he wrote the public statement that exonerated her.

          It happens.

          Hillary lost 30,000 government e-mails, and she was secretary of state;

          Her right-hand woman, Huma Abedin, accidentally hit the "send" button, whisking confidential government documents to her hubby's personal computer...Before he was hauled off to prison.

          And this week the FBI lost 50,000 text messages between Agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

          They're gone. Gone.

          It happens more than you would think.

          To recap, Strzok is the FBI agent who interviewed Hillary Clinton about her private server. And took no notes.

          He interviewed former Trump national security advisor Michael Flynn. Also Clinton aide Abedin and Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills, when they lied to the FBI, denying they knew about Clinton's server;

          Pro-Hillary and Anti-Trump, Strzok helped change the language in Comey's Hillary-Exoneration-Statement, from "gross negligence," a punishable crime, to "extremely careless," which cleared Clinton of criminal charges.

          You could say these folks are lousy employees of the American people, and you'd be right.

          But it's Strzok and his girlfriend Lisa Page's text messages referencing a "Secret Society" of federal agents, working against Donald Trump, which is most troubling. I didn't think things like that were allowed.

          Sure, we had hints something rotten was going on: Obama's U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power "unmasking" people in the Trump campaign. Wire taps in Trump Tower, during the Trump campaign.

         Associate Attorney General Bruce Ohr's ties to Fusion GPS, the company of bottom-feeders which created the anti-Trump Russian Dossier. Then the disclosure that Ohr's wife works for Fusion GPS.

         Looks like Treason. Smells like it, too. So is it?

         The Constitution says you have to wage war against our country, or give aid and comfort to our country's enemies. But more is implied. It is also a betrayal of trust. A breach of faith. Treachery. And a violation of a public servant's oath of office.

         When these elected officials skip national events because of their animus for the president. When they spend hours texting, plotting and Pillow Talking against a U.S. president, these are hours they are not "on the job." Could any of us get away with behavior like this, in our jobs, with our bosses?

         But before we send them up the river. While we're investigating them. The least we can do is dock their pay! Retroactive! And then fire their sorry hides.

         It isn't cruel or unusual punishment. It's not even a bad thing. Since Trump became president, unemployment numbers are way down. They'll find other jobs.

         But you can bet your life, it won't be in our government.

         Hold the line, America.
