There is so much bad news, who wants to hear any of it?
That's not to say there isn't good news. This week Mexican drug kingpin El Chapo promised not to kill any of the jurors in his upcoming federal trial.
That's good.
It isn't really just that the news is bad. It's as if the whole world has gone crazy.
In Delaware, Gov. Carney wants to allow children, K through 12, to choose their own name, race and gender, and have access to hormone blockers to transition to whatever they think they are. Without telling their parents.
In Washington, D.C., the pastor of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church is hell bent on cleaning up the language in the Bible and prayers, to make the language gender neutral.
When asked about the Biblical story of Adam and Eve, Rev. Dyer was unable to comment whether Eve maybe was or wasn't a woman, because, he said, "I wasn't there."
In California, the attorney general wants to fine employers $10,000 if they provide employee information to ICE, and two Democratic legislators want to force large companies to give the state half of whatever savings they get from the new tax bill.
In Washington, D.C., a group of clergy joined together to "bless" a new abortion clinic which performs late term abortions.
And in California, Yvette Felarca is an elementary school teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School who isn't afraid to throw a punch. Even though she is a violent, pro-violence activist in By Any Means Necessary, a group which is part of Antifa, and participated in the violence at Berkeley, she still got to keep her day job.
On a positive note, things aren't as nutty in the U.S. as they are in Canada.
This week Prime Minister Trudeau corrected a woman at a town hall, telling her to use the term "Peoplekind," instead of "Mankind." To be more inclusive.
Now that's one thing we Americans will not compromise on, not when it comes to "Mankind," "Manatees," and "Manhole Covers." We're adamant. But when it comes to our politicians, we probably don't say "No" often enough.
The current craziness we are seeing began when Americans elected a man because of the color of his skin, but didn't bother to review his resume.
The office did not "transform the man." He simply did not know how to do the job. He was just another community organizer.
Voters would have known that if they read his book, "Dreams From My Father." Or talked to his pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Or Wright's friend, Louis Farrahkan.
It was all there.
Obama's goal was to Make America Not So Great Again. And Hillary Clinton was an important player in his plan. He needed her as a figurehead to carry on The Agenda and to keep his secrets secret. And she was perfect for the job.
She was a politician who would do anything, say anything, back any lie, cheat any opponent, and smile while she was doing it.
She had no policies about which she was passionate, and her only campaign platform was that she was a woman.
But even when the media, the DNC, the Intelligence Community, the DOJ and Hillary lied, bribed and cheated;
Even when they stacked the deck against Bernie, Trump and the American voters, they still couldn't get her elected!
The Bought-and-Paid-for-Polls and media said she was a shoo-in, that she'd win in a landslide. They predicted it would be a cold day in hell before Trump could muster enough electoral votes to win.
And they used every trick in the book to ensure she'd win and Trump would lose. Even after he won.
They believed that whatever the Intelligence Community and the Obama administration did to help her win, it would never be made public.
And if she had won, it never would have.
This is the real reason Liberals can't let go of Hillary's defeat. They are shaking in their Liberal boots now that they are being "unmasked."
The agents in the FBI who covered up for Hillary;
Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the DNC Chair who favored Hillary over Bernie;
Attorney General Loretta Lynch who debased her office by meeting with the husband of a candidate who was under FBI investigation.
Rosenstein, Comey, McCabe. Obama. And others. They all thought that with Hillary in the Oval Office, their treasonous conspiracy would remain a secret.
These arrogant Liberal operatives used government agencies to target conservatives, refused to present subpoenaed documents to Congress. They lost records, destroyed records, and had the backing of the media throughout it all.
These sloppy Liberal crooks paid $10 million to create a bogus "dossier," then used it to secure a warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, to wiretap, spy and invade the privacy of Donald Trump, a private citizen and a presidential candidate.
They depended on it all going away once Hillary was elected.
Sadly, some dreams don't come true. But some do.
Trump won. That's good news. Because, not for nothin', Americans are Dreamers, too.
