Their Mama must have told them, "Honey, if you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all."
So the Mainstream Media decided to say nothing. At all. About anything good President Trump does.
This week, after the passing of Sen. John McCain, the media tried to say something nice about him, but their praise for the war hero got all mixed up, and they ended up saying something nasty. About Donald Trump.
They couldn't help themselves.
They grumbled that the flag at the White House didn't fly at half-staff long enough;
They whined that the president didn't say the right words when offering his condolence message to the McCain family.
And soon John McCain'd death became just another Trump bashing event.
All in all, that wasn't as shocking as the fact that they voiced concern about the U.S. Flag.
They never did before.
Not when Antifa burned it. Not when NFL millionaire-players took a knee to it.
As far as Trump and McCain? It's no secret the two men didn't like each other. But so what?
In 1804, Vice President Aaron Burr shot and killed his longstanding political rival, former Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton. So it was clear the two didn't get along.
Compared to that, the Trump/McCain thing doesn't look that bad.
Meanwhile in the wings, Establishment No-Trumpers and leftover Deep Staters, Bush, and Obama were getting ready for another event to which the president isn't invited.
That kind of stuff makes their day.
As for the Mainstream Media, they don't much care about what's happening in the rest of the world. If it doesn't make Trump look bad, they don't have time to cover it.
So they chose Omarosa, instead of two terrorist attacks in London, Lanny Davis and Michael Cohen instead of a new NAFTA;
They didn't bother telling us Paris isn't Paris anymore; that nowadays the City of Light looks like San Francisco;
And they never said a word about white farmers being murdered in South Africa, their farms being seized by the government, without compensation. All with the blessing of their President Ramaphosa, a man whom Obama called the "inspiring new hope in this great country," when he visited there last month.
But YouTube conservative reporter Lauren Southern has been covering the "anti-white, ethnic cleansing" for months. So has UK's Katie Hopkins. And both traveled to South Africa to authenticate the story.
While the mainstream media worldwide, did not.
When President Trump said Secretary of State Pompeo would look into the matter, the Liberal media was livid! They said the story wasn't true! That he was dead wrong!
Just like they did when he claimed Obama was wire-tapping Trump Tower.
This is what CNN's Jake Tapper called "The Golden Age of Journalism" in an address to a travel agent convention in D.C.
"It is difficult to be a journalist today," he lamented, "when it comes to what I perceive as standing up for basic facts, basic truth, and basic decency." And he should know. "I see a lot of excellent journalism being done," he said, citing The New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal. And, of course, CNN.
Liberals love the news and news outlets that get them closer to impeaching the president. They hate Trump because he threatens what they have, the politicians, CEO's, the Deep Staters hiding in plain sight in the intelligence community, the predators and liars.
They hate him because they have a lot to lose. And there is speculation about that.
Some say the McCain Foundation has seen an increase in donations from foreign countries, such as Saudi Arabia, at the same time the Clinton Foundation donations have diminished. From Saudi Arabia. That Nancy Pelosi, Obama, Bush, Schumer and others have enriched themselves from foreign sources. They talk about why so many Congressmen are "retiring," and how some things are not what they seem, such as charitable organizations who help children.
But that's just something some people say.
Some also say Hillary was supposed to win the election so she could carry out "A Sixteen Year Plan to Destroy America:" Weaken the military, flood the country with immigrants to gain their votes, weaponize government agencies for political purposes.
Eight years for Obama. Eight for Hillary.
But that's just what some people say.
Nonetheless Trump was the monkey wrench they never expected. And they feel justified in covering him in the most negative way they can, and in declaring, "The heck with informing the public! And while we're at it, the heck with national security."
And it's all because they have a lot to lose.
Hold the line, America.
Where We Go One, We Go All
