Even Turkeys Have It Tough

Democrats walk to the beat of a different drummer, so it's not alway easy to figure out what the heck they're doing.

In 2009-2010, President Obama instituted new Rules of Engagement for the military. They were what you'd call "Enemy Friendly."

"Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes. And after you do that, don't shoot unless they shoot first."

These Rules were responsible for American military casualties more than doubling.

Now Democrats have new Rules of their own. Election rules.

"If you can't win on the merits, stuff the ballot box." And, "If you still can't win, ask for a Do-Over. Or the best two out of three."

It's Hillary's Legacy. You can read about it on her website, "ImASoreLoser.com"

Hillary laid the foundation, now Democrats have built on it.

If you're surprised about the recent elections, you weren't the only one. Democrats were, too. What happened wasn't supposed to.

They pulled out all the stops for Hillary in 2016. Wasserman Schultz took care of Bernie. Donna Brazil slipped Hillary the answers to CNN debate questions. And the many, many "voters" in California were there to make her "Popular Vote" a big one.

The belief was, with all this, Hillary couldn't lose.

          But she did.

So Democrats regrouped. They gave it their all in Broward and Palm counties for the 2018 elections in Florida. And threw buckets of money to Democrat candidates across the country.

          That didn't work, either.

That's when the Rules were expanded to include whining and denying and never going away. Ever. And for that, Hillary has been a good role model.

Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Adams still refuses to admit Brian Kemp won. Although she admits he got the most votes.

          Isn't that winning?

But Abrams still insists Kemp's win is illegitimate, and threatens to file some sort of federal lawsuit.

Governor-Elect Ron DeSantis won twice, after his opponent Andrew Gillum conceded twice.

Now Hollywood is threatening to boycott the entire state of Georgia. It's where they've been making films lately. And all the production companies; all the actors and technicians are the only ones a boycott would hurt.

The whole thing is messy. But put a Democrat in charge, and everything they touch goes to pot.

Mayors and governors. Members of city councils. In Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, New York.

San Francisco has the worst air quality in the world. Another police office and two others were shot to death this week in Mayor Rahm Emmanuel's city. Deadly wildfires have destroyed lives and property in California. And  newly-elected governors couldn't clear the streets of New York City and New Jersey, so 1,000 auto accidents occurred in Jersey, and commuters were stuck in their cars for nine hours, or had to walk over the George Washington Bridge to get home.

Because their Democrat leaders didn't know how to do their jobs. They just knew how to get elected.

It is because of forest mismanagement that wildfires devastated California, according to Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. "I will lay it at the feet of those environmental radicals that have prevented us from managing the forests for years," he said after touring the area this week, while Gov. Jerry Brown blamed it on Global Warming.

Brown didn't make sense and it did zilch to help the citizens of Paradise, whose entire town was burned to the ground. But, then it didn't make sense when Stevie Wonder blamed Aretha Franklin's death on Global Warming, either.

It's the Democrat Rules of Engagement, and we'll see more from them as we head towards the 2020 election.

As President Trump said this week when he bestowed a Presidential Pardon on two turkeys, Peas and Carrots, "It was a fair and open election," when Peas was declared the winner of a White House poll that asked Americans to pick which turkey should be pardoned.

"Unfortunately, Carrots refused to concede and demanded a recount," the president said, "and we're still fighting with Carrots.

"I will tell you, we've come to a conclusion. Carrots, I'm sorry to tell you the result did not change." And then added, "Even though Peas and Carrots have received a presidential pardon, I have warned them that House Democrats are likely to issue them both subpoenas."

And he said, he couldn't promise the turkeys that their pardons "won't be enjoined by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals."

Democrats walk to the beat of their own drummer, so it's not always easy to figure out what the heck they're doing.

          Happy Thanksgiving!
          Hold the line, America.
