Where Have the Republicans Gone?

"Let me tell you. You take on the intelligence community, they have six ways to Sunday at getting back at you." Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, 2017

Rules are rules. Except when they're not.

"Rules Are Not Rules" when the U.S. Intelligence Community changes the Whistleblower Act to allow second-hand information to be enough to bring a charge.

And "They're Not Rules" when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) bypass a full House vote necessary to start a presidential impeachment.

Rules are rules. Sometimes. But they make life so difficult.

Sometimes they're written rules. Such as the Senate Rules for Impeachment.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he'll follow the rules.

"I would have no choice but to take it up if the House impeaches Trump," McConnell says fatalistically.

Says it all.

Then there are the Unwritten-But-You'd-Have-to-be-Kidding-Not-to-Follow-Them Rules.

Such as it's not good form to fly a staff of 13 and six Land Rovers from the UK to South Afrca just so you can dance with the folks there.

Like Prince Harry and his wife.

Or the frightening, Bad Seed-like little Swedish girl, Greta Thunberg.

The accusatory child traveled to the U.N. Climate Change Summit aboard what was touted as a "Zero Carbon," 60-foot racing yacht, so she could rail vehemently against the world's leaders, but most especially our president, on our home turf.

"You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words," Thunberg charged, face twisted with hatred.

"We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money, and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!"

She neglected to mention that her selfless act required the heavy lifting of a staff of other people to jet to the U.S., rendering her trans-Atlantic trek pointless.

How dare she!?

But who cares about Meghan or Harry or Greta? Or even Al Gore.

After all Al predicted that the North Polar Ice Cap would be gone in five years at the COP15 Climate Conference.

That was in 2008.

And, while plugging his movie, "An Inconvenient Truth," he inconveniently said humanity had only 10 years left before the world would reach a point of no return.

That was in 2008.

This from a man whose Tennessee mansion "guzzles more electricity in one year than the average American family uses in 21 years," according to the National Center for Public Policy.

But when it comes to talking, or predicting, or accusing, there are no rules. For Liberals.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) unequivocally declares that it will be curtains for planet earth in 12 years unless we implement her Green New Deal.

And like Little Greta, and the rest of the Democrat presidential candidates, AOC is dismissive of the cost.

But her chief of staff had something different to say.

"The interesting thing about the Green New Deal is it wasn't originally a climate thing at all," Saikat Chakrabarti said in May, according to The Washington Post.

"We really think of it as a How-do-you-change-the-entire-economy-thing."

Something like Obama's Cap and Trade legislation, the real purpose of which was to generate profits and redistribute wealth. To Obama. And Al.

So here's the question.

There are 197 Republicans in the House of Representatives, of the 116th Congress. Where are they?

Why aren't they expressing the American citizen's outrage over the Pelosi-Nadler Impeachment Coup d'etat?

If nothing else, this desperate move by Democrats has made it abundantly clear why they are doing a lot of things, including fast-tracking impeachment. And earlier this year, Rep. Al Green told an MSNBC host why, plain and simple.

"I'm concerned that if we don't impeach this president, he will get re-elected."

So, today, in a world where the Yurok tribe of northwestern California has declared the river now has "rights of personhood," no such rights have been afforded to this president.

Democrats have kept the Whistleblower's identity a secret, and have vowed to continue to do so, denying the president's Sixth Amendment right to confront his accuser.

Breaking rules, making rules, making predictions. The same hypocrisy always rears its ugly head when Liberals are at work.

Rules are rules, except when they're not. And for Liberals, rules are made to be broken.

Hold the line, America.
Where We Go One, We Go All
Stay strong, Patriots.
