Our Silent Spring

"I survived the foxholes of Guam. I can get through this Coronavirus bullsh**." 95-year-old Bill Kelly, World War II veteran and Coronavirus Survivor

"Hand to mouth." "Paycheck to paycheck." These aren't just terms of art.

They are a description of how a lot of Americans live.

But not those who have job security and money in the bank.

The people in the media. In Congress. And those who are making, and justifying, our House Arrest Rules.

Like Doctors Fauci and Birx.

Like governors who are giddly with the power to close the parks and impose an 8:00 curfew in New Jersey, and arrest a lone surfer in Malibu.

And like Rahm Emanuel's brother Zeke, the "Architect of Obamacare," who now says we have to shut down the country for 18 more months.

They think you can hang in there indefinitely, because they can.

They never thought about the fact that you couldn't make it without money. They didn't care.

To them it is all an Ivory Tower hypothetical.

So, while you were trying to buy toilet paper on Amazon, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was busy buying Amazon. $4.5 million dollars' worth.

And while you were handcrafting paper-towel-face-masks to go to the grocery store, Zeke was sitting pretty, as the "current vice provost for Global Initiatives at the University of Pennsylvania, and chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy."

Whatever that means.

What it does mean is he's getting a paycheck, and you're not.

But, more importantly, "Zeke the Architect," can have a hand in your losing your job forever.

Just like you lost your healthcare.

China has done a really good job of doing a bad job, infecting the whole darn world.

Lying about it. Perhaps planning it. Who knows?

What better way to shut down the U.S. economy.

Our Leftist media would call that a Conspiracy Theory, if they talked about China's role in bringing our country to its knees.

Which they don't. There are no Watch Dogs anymore.

They don't investigate the disgusting, inhumane, dangerous "Wet Market" eating habits of the people in Wuhan, live bats, snakes, dogs and cats, and the price Americans have had to pay for it.

They do not research the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The lab is located in Wuhan, and it is an established practice that Chinese citizens buy exhausted test animals. To eat.

And, apparently, the workers in the lab were a tad careless with handling the Coronavirus.

In February, after an emergency meeting in Beijing, President-for-Life Xi Jinping spoke about needing to set up a system to prevent future epidemics.

Then, according to the New York Post, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology released a new directive, titled: "Instructions on strengthening biosecurity management in microbiology labs that handle advanced viruses like the novel coronavirus."

Still, counterintuitively, our media fiercely defends China, and criticizes our president.

So, this past week, while you were at home, hosing down your pizza delivery box with Lysol, 20,000 Chinese citizens were business-as-usual flocking to Huagshan Mountain Park.

The media has not reported, nor investigated, that the models which were relied upon to keep Americans at home, were wrong.

Investigative reporter John Solomon has. And Sean Davis, co-founder of The Federalist did.

He investigated the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation Coronavirus model, and tweeted:

"The IMHE model for the Wuhan coronovirus that the White House is relying, is garbage. It is using NY/NJ data and applying it to the rest of the U.S.

"It predicted that over 121,000 Americans would be hospitalized yesterday (April 1) over the coronavirus. The actual number? 31,142."

Even still, Surgeon General Jerome Adams decided to exercise his bad bedside manner, telling Americans, without solid science, and scaring them to death:

"This is going to be the hardest and the saddest week of most American's lives," he said.

"This is going to be our Pearl Harbor moment, our 9/11."

That wasn't good. Queen Elizabeth did it better.

In her April 5 address to her nation, she said:

"It reminds me of the very first broadcast I made in 1940, helped by my sister. We as children spoke from here at Windsor to children who had been evacuated from their homes and sent away for their own safety.

"...While we have faced challenges before, this one is different. This time we join with all nations across the globe in a common endeavor.

"Using the great advances of science and our instinctive compassion to heal, we will succeed, and that success will belong to every one of us.

"We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return. We will be with our friends again. We will be with our families again."

And reminiscent of World War II, during which the Queen worked as a mechanic and military driver, she added the words from a Vera Lynn song from that era, about people faced with an uncertain future: "We will meet again."

Don't know where. Don't know when.

Our Surgeon General, and Harry and Meghan, for that matter, could take a lesson from a very brave and dignified lady.

She knows how to Keep Calm, and Carry On.

Hold the line, America.
Where We Go One, We Go All
Stay strong, Patriots
