Who You Gonna Call?

If doing nothing is a decision, our elected leaders are working overtime.

All hell is breaking loose, and the people we elected to protect us are sitting on their hands, doing nothing to stop it.

So if and when you need a cop, who you gonna call?

At this point, your best bet is "Ghostbusters."

Democrat governors and mayors are busy pandering to the criminal protesters, defunding and abolishing the police on command.

Now homeowners are being forced to defend their homes from mobs, and from protesters chanting "Eat the Rich," while they loot stores on Rodeo Drive.

It's appalling.

St. Louis homeowner Mark McCloskey and his wife had to defend life and limb with weapons when armed Black Lives Matter marauders invaded their private property.

"When I saw that mob coming through the gate with their rage and their anger, I thought that we would be overrun in a second," McCloskey said.

"I was literally afraid that within seconds they would surmount the wall and come into the house, kill us, burn the house down, and everything that I had worked for, for the last 32 years."

It wasn't clear where St. Louis Democrat Mayor Lynda Crewson was at that time, but instead of sympathy and support, and protection, the McCloskeys were accused of being racists.

In June a woman and her child were trapped in their car in Fredericksburg, Va., when protesters blocked an intersection. Desperate and afraid, she frantically called 911.

"Unless you're hurt, or something, or get in an accident, our officers can't intervene," the dispatcher told her. "We can't do anything, ma'am. The city told us this is a sanctioned event."

The terrified woman, Tara Durant, screamed that the mob was on her car, and beginning to "get really threatening."

"We would suggest that you call up City Hall to let them know about your frustrations," the dispatcher replied.

That's the way it is. And it could be coming to a theater near you.

"Peaceful protesters" who loot, burn and kill are protected, while ordinary citizens are left to their own devices.

In Seattle, Mayor "Summer of Love" has allowed the city to be hijacked for 23 days.

In this "Police Free Zone," a 16-year-old is dead, a 14-year-old is in critical condtion, and four others have been shot.

In New York City, protesters have set up housekeeping outside City Hall to demand defunding of the police, refusing to budge until their demands were met.

Mayor deBlasio was happy to oblige, even after a 19-year-old woman was killed near Madison Square Park last week.

He gave the protesters what they wanted. Today deBlasio's NYC City Council passed an $88.1 billion dollar budget, cutting $1 billion dollars from the NYPD budget.

Funds are to be "redistributed" to "spending for young people," and the "New York City Housing Authority," but will probably end up in a "charity" headed up by Mayor deBlasio's wife.

And you know how that ended the last time. Fiddley-dee. They're still looking for the money.

Black Lives Supposedly Matter, but not always. Like in Democrat cities. Like Chicago. With black-on-black crime.

This past weekend, 63 people were shot in Chicago, 16 fatally, including a one year-old.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, sporting her spiffy haircut, said seeing children killed has caused her the greatest heartache.

"Dear God, and dear Chicago," she said at Monday's press conference. "We have to better than what we're seeing."

What she didn't say, or realize, is that she's the one to make it better. She was elected to do that. That's her job.

And the cops could probably lend a helping hand.

But no matter. It's all good.

Hollywood actor, Kevin Bacon is an ardent supporter of Black Lives Matter, and that's all that counts.

Footloose and fancy free, the actor is promoting a TikTok video showing tots and young children marching down a sidewalk, carrying signs, in support of Black Lives Matter.

"New generations are marching in to help chage us for the better. Love this," he tweeted.

It was beyond adorable, especially since the video app is a Chinese social networking service, owned by ByteDance, based in Beijing.

A company currently under security review by the U.S. government.

But that's the way it is. And it's coming to a theater near you.

Hold the line, America.
