It's never easy to be a role model, but America is.

We fought a tough battle for independence, and gave France the courage to do the same.

Today the Cancel Culture has bullied conservative voices into silence. People are unable to speak freely at their workplaces, and one does not dare to disclose one's true politics anywhere.

Social media giants YouTube, Google, Facebook and Twitter remove conservative voices off their platforms at will. And if you dare to speak, as a conservative, you will be punished.

Fortunately there are role models worth emulating.

This week RealClear Politic's columnist John Kass provided a dandy role model for all of us.

In his column "The Mob is After Me, But I Won't be Shamed into Silence," the veteran he-started-as-a-copy-boy journalist did himself proud.

He wrote about lawlessness in Democrat-run cities. About George Soros funding liberal candidates for prosecutors, like Illinois prosecutor Kim Foxx.

"We come into this world alone and we leave alone," he said. "And the most important thing we leave behind isn't money. The most important thing we leave is our name," Kass wrote.

"And I will not soil my name by groveling to anyone in this or any other newsroom."

It's not easy to be a role model. Not today. But there are still people like Kass around, who won't compromise their values. There's a lot riding on it. Like our Freedom of Speech. And the entire future of our country.

Hang tough.
