Just 'cause you want it, doesn't mean you can have it.

You can't buy a house if you don't have the money.

And you cannot stop the nomination of a Supreme Court Justice just because you want to.

You're not president. Trump is. Even "Deathbed Wishes" won't make your wishes come true.

"The Constitution is clear," Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn,) has said. "The Senate must consider the president's nominee, and then choose whether to vote yes or no. We must do our job, hold hearings and vote."

Sen. Chuck (D-NY), and other Democrats agreed.

But that was in March 2016, and both senators were supporting then-President Obama's Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland.

Now the worm has turned.

"The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice," Schumer said this week. "Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president."

Funny. But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky) said the exact thing in 2016, following the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, but now he, too, is whistling a different tune.

Flip. Flop. Everybody's doing it.

You can write it off to politics. But what is really important is that both presidential candidates have announced they are nominating a woman for the Supreme Court.

In Lunchbucket Joe's case, a black woman.

This can't be written off as politics. And it shouldn't be.

This has to be the highest example of Sexual Discrimination, and an insult to the Constitution itself.

Just as Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg should not have been the first woman in 243 years to lie in state in the Nation's Capitol, so the nominee to the highest Court in the land should not be chosen on the basis of gender.

It would be the understatement of the year to say that sexual discrimination makes it a tough deal for male  candidates. White males are plumb out of luck. Highly qualified candidates such as Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

It's not fair to anyone.

Justice Ginsburg interpreted the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause as prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender, because, she reasoned, it created "favored" or "disfavored" classes among people. It was her way to ensure women's rights. Human rights.

How would she feel about this?

How can Lunchbucket Joe choose a black woman as his nominee for the Court and not violate both gender and racial laws?

What in the world have we been allowing to go on?

Before a nominee is even selected, Democrats are already gearing up to give that person the type of vetting Brett Kavanaugh, Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas received from them.

Most think Trump's choice will be Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Amy Coney Barrett, so this time around Religion will be their battering ram as they are judging Amy.

Republicans have accentuated her role as a mother of seven, which is odd. And sexist.

Democrats retroactively disapprove of her because she is a "Practicing Catholic," seeing her as a threat to Roe v. Wade.

And the media is pitching in to do all it can.

This week Reuters and Newsweek reported the same false claim that Judge Barrett and her husband belong to a type of religious group which served as inspiration for Margaret Atwood's nove, The Handmaid's Tale.

There was no retraction.

But, come on, man! Why are Democrats in such a snit? So Amy's a practicing Catholic. So what?

Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden are "practicing Catholics," and that hasn't kept then from pushing and supporting a Pro-Abortion Platform, and protecting Planned Parenthood,

If Judge Amy is a Pelosi-Biden-type Catholic the Democrats have nothing to worry about. She'll be one of them.

Let the games begin.

Hold the line, America.
