Sometimes you just have a feeling. It's not that you're being negative. Not at all. You just have a gut feeling that something isn't going to work.

Like D.C. sending behavorial health workers out on 911calls. Instead of cops.

A representative for Office of Unified Communications, Interim Director Cleo Subido explained. "We want to make sure we're not making something more of an event by sending a uniformed officer there, if they are not needed."

It's believed there is a distrust of law enforcement, the fire department, or strangers, and sending police "could be doing a disservice."

Now anyone who has seen an abusive husband on a drunk rampage might disagree. Even angels fear to tread there.

But you can't disagree. Same as you couldn't disagree with Black Lives Matter being painted on our capitol's streets, courtesy of Mayor Muriel Bowser.

It does make you wonder, though: Where does the authority to do these kinds of wacky things come from?

Divine Right of Kings? Probably.

Hang tough.
