It used to be considered a good thing, to walk a mile in another guy's shoes. But not now.

Not if they are Minnetonka moccasins.

That would be enabling a company to appropriate Native American culture, or so says Minnetonka CEO David Miller.

Since Miller admitted the company isn't Native-owned, they have hired a member of the tribe Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, "as a reconciliation advisor," I guess, to assuage their guilt.

Minnetonka announced their apology sadly on "Indigenous People's Day."

And no, the company didn't apologize to Chris Columbus for celebrating a holiday that was robbed right out from under him, and renamed something that only Joe Biden and Barack Obama think is suitable in its insulting nature to the rest of Americans.

God bless the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria. And Happy Columbus Day.
