Who Would Want to Be a Leper?

If you stop to think about it, our Founding Fathers sure had what it takes.

Their commitment to their beliefs, and the willingness to defend them, deserve bended-knee admiration.

And not the Kaepernick and LeBron kind.

Commitment wasn’t easy in the 1700’s, and it isn’t easy today.

After all, when push comes to shove, who wants to be an Outsider? A Pariah? Not be allowed into “The Club?”

Lepers never liked it, and it’s not any more popular today when you’re the leper. Ask Donald Trump.

So, the question becomes, “What will do when Freedom is threatened?”

John Adams defended eight British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre in 1770.

He did it to uphold The Rule of Law. He believed he couldn’t do otherwise, and was
 severely censured for it.

In 1868, Edmund Ross (R-Kansas), broke with party ranks to vote against the impeachment of Andrew Johnson.

“I literally looked into my open grave,” he said afterwards, knowing his Senate career was over.

Gen. Robert E. Lee, reputed to be one of the finest officers in the U.S. Army, turned down President Lincoln’s offer to command the Federal forces in the Civil War.

Lee stated that he “could not fight against his own people.”

For that decision, the Union Army seized Lee’s house and turned it into Arlington National Cemetery.

Nowadays, it’s an altogether different ball of wax.

This week President Joe travelled to Michigan to plug his whatever bull (and I don't mean "bill,") he’s trying to pass, but balked when asked if he would go to Michigan to console the victims and families after a school shooting there.

After four died, at Oxford High School.

“I don’t know if I’m able to do that,” Joe replied. “I don’t even have the detail of who the families are.”

Of course he doesn’t.

He said he talked with Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) about it.

"I think she knew somebody who was there,” Joe pondered. “I’m not – I don’t know anybody who was injured.”

Nearly two weeks later, Joe didn’t visit Waukesha, Wisconsin either, and has no intentions of doing so.

The man responsible for mowing his SUV into people at a Christmas Parade, killing six and injuring 60, was arguably a domestic terrorist.

But that’s the kind of news CNN and Joe ignore.

The driver of the vehicle was the wrong color.

Darrell Brooks is not a parent attending a Board of Education meeting.

He’s a felon, and ran down innocent people, shortly after being let out of jail on a "Social Justice" $1,000 bail.

For running over the mother of his child.

He was already out on bail since July for something else. And is a registered sex offender.

Certainly, our hearts are with the community as they’ve gone through such a difficult time,” Press Secretary Psaki explained, when asked why Joe hadn’t gone to Waukesha.

Their hearts may be with the community, but their president isn’t.

But it’s the Biden way.

Joe has yet to go to the southern border, and check out the millions who are pouring in, from all over the world, including Africa, while he contemplates locking down American citizens over a new Covid variant.

From Africa.

The variant could probably be transmitted by these illegal immigrants, but Americans aren’t allowed to talk about that.

Or anything about Dr. Fauci.

It’s not allowed by Joe and those of his ilk. And it’s going to get even worse.

After Jack Dorsey stepped down as CEO of Twitter, his replacement, Parag Agrawal said boldly, and unequivocally, “the company’s role is not to be bound by the First Amendment.”

Not that it ever has been.

“The kinds of things that we do about this, is focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed.

Most people can speak. Where our role is particularly emphasized, is who can be heard,” Agrawai said.

The sound you are now hearing is our Founding Fathers turning over in their graves.

Hold the line, America.
Let's go, Brandon!
Stay strong, Patriots.
