It's true. No good deed ever goes unpunished.

On April 13, 2018, President Donald Trump granted Scooter Libby a pardon.

"I don't know Mr. Libby," Trump said, "but for years I have heard that he has been treated unfairly. Hopefully, this full pardon will help rectify a very sad portion of his life."

Scooter Libby was the former chief of staff to Dick Cheney. He was convicted and sentenced after an investigation into the leak of the identity of CIA Agent Valerie Plame Wilson.

Trump acknowledged Libby's public service. And Libby said he was indeed grateful. But this week it was reported that The Scooter plans to attend a fundraiser in March for Trump-Hating Liz Cheney.

I guess it figures with his connection to his old boss. But then again, maybe a weak character is the reason he had "a very sad portion of his life."

But no matter. We have The Donald. And Scooter has Liz.

Hang tough.
