Don't Be An Ableist*

You might not know October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. But it is.

And the Department of Labor’s theme this year is, “Disability: Part of the Equity Equation.”

Translated: “You can’t criticize someone who is unable to do a job.”

Like being a senator. Or president of the United States.

One of the reasons seriously ill men like John Fetterman and Joe Biden can run for major office is, as Joe would say, six words. ‘Wokeness, on my word as a Biden.”

Even though liberals think any ol’ boy (or girl, or boy who thinks he’s a girl) can hold office, words and thinking are part and parcel of the job.

John Fetterman’s problem is he is unable to think, understand and speak, all prerequisites for being a U.S. senator.

Only 100 people are fortunate enough to serve in the United States Senate. For a six-year term. And those 100 need to be able to articulate and process.

Words are powerful, especially from leaders. 

It’s the reason our Founding Fathers placed freedom of speech in the First Amendment.

It’s the reason those who seek to destroy a country silence speech.


Before and during World War II, Winston Churchill’s words inspired the world. 

In 1962, Nelson Mandela fought for equality and justice. 

“During my lifetime, I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination…It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But, if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.”

In 1942, Gandhi urged “ahimsa,” an avoidance of non-violence, in India’s quest for independence. It was a concept embraced years later by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the Civil Rights Movement.

In 1865, in his second inauguration speech, Abraham Lincoln sought to unite a country torn by civil war.

“With malice toward none; with charity to all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation’s wounds…”

And 1961, John F. Kennedy’s Inaugural speech inspired the nation. 
 
“With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and his help, but knowing that here on earth, God’s work must truly be our own.”
 
Bad things happen in everyone’s life. But one thing no one is allowed to do, and should never do, is make other people pay for what happens to you.

It’s all yours.

In March, fans were stunned to hear Bruce Willis was diagnosed with “aphasia,” described as a language disorder that results from damage to parts of the brain, stroke being the most common cause. 

When it progresses, memory, attention and other cognitive skills are affected. It sounds familiar.
 
Willis was unable to continue working.
         
We could recount the tragic-funny things both Fetterman and Biden’s do, but it’s like shooting fish in a barrel.

And cruel.

What we should do is take a look at the Democrat Party, Jill Biden and Gisele Fetterman and Barack Obama and what they do.

They are using these men for their own selfish gains. And, in the case of Fetterman’s wife, she doesn’t care about the people of Pennsylvania or her husband. 

Instead she has scolded people for noticing her husband is sick, and accused them of “ableism,” discrimination against people with disabilities.*

(Who knew?)

That was after she demanded that NBC reporter Dasha Burns apologize for telling the truth about his mind after interviewing him.

The bottom line is Fetterman and Biden can’t do the job. It's the same as if they both wanted to be ballerinas, but couldn't dance on tippy toe.

Thank God, that at least Bruce Willis’ wife loved him enough to urge him to retire. It's the kind thing to do.
