I'm not sure which country Joe Biden gets his Social Security check from, but he's old enough to get one.
If he gets it from the United States, he would surely know that Social Security recipients get a cost of living increase when necessary. Like when inflation is higher than it has been in 40 years. And that this process was initiated by Richard Nixon in the 1970's.
But Joe doesn't know any of this, so this week he bragged that he gave a pay raise to all those folks who get a check from Social Security each month as one of his accomplishments.
"On our watch, for the first time in 10 years, seniors are going to get the biggest increase in their Social Security checks they've gotten," Biden said in a speech last week at a Democrat fundraiser.
No Democrat there caught it, and it was fun to see his press secretary furiously turn the pages of her binder to find a way to explain why Joe is so stupid.
Hang tough.
