Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.” Melanie Beattie

It’s Thanksgiving 2022 in America, and our Founding Fathers wouldn’t recognize the place.

Men claiming they’re women.

A government that wants a Pandemic to last forever.

Grown-ups who say they’re simply "MAPS --Minor Attracted People,” not pedophiles.

And a company, Balenciaga, who puts out ads featuring toddlers clutching Teddy-Bears dressed in bondage gear.

In colonial times, people like that would have been sent to the stocks. Or burned at the stake.

Fear is being used as an instrument of change by the Left today. We’re being made to fear things that probably will never happen, and are kept in the dark about things that actually have.

“You can’t afford a Thanksgiving Dinner!” “There’s only a week of diesel fuel left!” “We don’t have any antibiotics!”

Propaganda. Conditioning. Distraction. It works in China, why not here? After all, who in our government and industry doesn’t love China?

But when something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.

Elon Musk said that.

The year before the first Thanksgiving at Plymouth was no picnic.

November was too late to plant crops. Many settlers died of scurvy and malnutrition during that horrible first winter,” according to U.S. History.org.

Of the 102 original Mayflower passengers, only 44 survived.

“Again, like in Jamestown, the kindness of the local Native Americans saved them from a frosty death. The Pilgrims’ remarkable courage was displayed the following spring. When the Mayflower returned to Europe, not a single Pilgrim deserted Plymouth.”

These are the people upon whose shoulders we all stand. So, Thanksgiving is not just a day about turkey and pumpkin pie. It’s about gratitude.

These Pilgrims knew how to throw a party, even without dishwashers or stoves. And, despite reports to the contrary, the Indians were invited to dinner, and were happy to come.

Michelle Obama is a recipient of the bounty offered by this country. But after spending eight years in the White House, as the First Lady, as the first black First Lady, Michelle doesn’t think so.

She still believes she's a victim. She is still the woman who said after her husband’s nomination, “For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country.”

This is after she attended Princeton and Harvard, and now owns million-dollar mansions in Martha’s Vineyard and D.C.

For some people enough is never enough. And gratitude is just a word in the dictionary.

This week while plugging her latest book, The Light We Carry, it was clear Michelle Obama doesn't like some of the people in the country her husband was elected to lead.

The white ones.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, she revealed how victimized she was as first lady, and explained that it was because white Americans would not have accepted her wearing braids.

(Which was "top of mind" for all of us.)

She said white Americans, had not gotten used to a black family in the White House.

After Americans voted her husband into office twice.

“As black women we deal with it, the whole thing about do you show up with your natural hair?” she told DeGeneres, her narcissistic, self-absorption evident.

“As first lady, I did not wear braids,” she said. “Yeah, we had to ease up on the people…I was like, it would be easier.  Nope, Nope. They’re not ready.”

Easier for whom? It was important, and she chose not to do it.

“Let me keep my hair straight,” she said she decided. “Let’s get health care passed.”

The truth is Michelle Obama wasn’t man enough to wear braids, but, instead, chose to complain about it.

Last week her narcissistic mate was just as unhappy, griping about his concern that people don’t like him on The Daily Show.

He blamed it on Fox news.

For some people, enough is never enough. And gratitude is just a word in the dictionary.

Hold the line, America.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Stay strong, Patriots
