Who wouldn't welcome an Atta Boy from Bono telling us capitalism is, after all, good?

The U2 singer has finally found what he's been looking for, but it's not what he's been preaching for oh, these many years.

"I thought that if we just redistributed resources, then we could solve every problem. I now know that's not true. There's a funny moment when you realize that as an activist, the off-ramp out of extreme poverty is, ugh, commerce. It's entrepreneurial capitalism," Bono told New York Times reporter David Marchese.

Of course he could have looked at the countries where "redistribution" didn't work. But he didn't.

And in another Aha moment, Bono said Joe was the man, his guy. A good president.

After 62 years, you'd think Bono would be smarter than that, especially when learning about capitalism. But he's not.

I like his songs. So maybe he should stick to singing his songs, and spare us his remarks about our country, where he has, UGH, made lotsa' money...because of Capitalism.

Hang tough.
