You can love who you love, and most everyone loves FDR.

But when you watch the documentary on The Roosevelts, you can't help noticing that during tough times, the Roosevelts didn't suffer at all.

Eleanor and Franklin and Teddy still had their nice New York City brownstones and homes in Cove Neck and Hyde Park, while regular folk stood on bread lines and had to leave their homes to work in the Civilian Conservation Corps.

That doesn't make FDR or Teddy any less respected, but it's never a mistake to know history.

For instance, to know that Franklin Roosevelt also wanted to pack the Supreme Court, just like Joe.

FDR's Supreme Court had ruled several New Deal programs were unconstitutional. Roosevelt wanted to appoint six new judges who would support his policies.

And as with Joe, and Jack Kennedy and FDR, the media kept a lot from the public. It's never wrong to know history. Even if knowing the truth hurts, it's best to know it. After all. It is your country and these people are supposed to be lobbying for you.

Hang tough.
