The Beatles were terrific. They were gifted young men that wrote songs like old souls. But it's possible they were not only good musicians, but might have been prophetic. George Harrison wrote The Taxman.

"If you drive a car, I'll tax the street. If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat. If you get too cold, I'll tax the heat. If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet." Cause he's the Taxman.

Well, son of a gun, here we are.

Because of mismanagement, social justice legal eagles, and a hefty dose of not caring, Democrat-run cities and government are always broke. And so they tax.

In New York, no one is arrested for anything, including subway turnstile jumping.

With a resultant financial shortfall, now New York City wants to levy a "congestion tax," about $28 dollars per car, for the privilege of coming into the city.

The federal government and several states want to tax drivers on the miles they drive.

And the Beatles saw it coming, in one of their songs.

Hang. tough.
